Biography

Jared Camins is a software engineer and technology leader with almost a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. He has worked at companies ranging from early-stage startups to series C enterprises, and has experience in a wide range of technologies and domains. He is passionate about building high-quality software that solves real-world problems, and about building and leading high-performing teams.

Jared is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Talkiatry, a behavioral health practice devoted to responsibly solving the mental health treatment crisis in America. At Talkiatry, Jared built the technology team from the ground up and led the team through multiple periods of hypergrowth. Prior to Talkiatry, Jared spent time at Lively (a D2C hearing aid company), Cityblock Health (a Medicaid managed care organization), Zocdoc (a healthcare appointment booking platform), and Remedy Partners (a bundled payments company).

Prior to his career in healthcare, Jared worked in the library and information science field. Much of his time in libraries was spent in rare books, although he also worked on the technology side, spending time in elected roles on the Koha open source integrated library system project.
